I first fell in love with Lulie Wallace’s flower portraits ages ago and have since enjoyed seeing the artist challenge herself to new subjects. Wallace is clearly attracted to painting her environment, and I love how cheery and joy-filled each piece feels.

While I’m glad to see that flowers always return, the work she’s putting out these days is consistently gorgeous regardless of subject. From her recent mountain series to her figure paintings a few years ago, Lulie Wallace strives to challenge herself and evolve her craft. I’d say it’s working. Lulie is definitely keeping the interest of her collectors, and I suspect avoiding burnout at the same time. Brilliant.
