Photography is a skill that I just don’t have. I am so out of my depth with anything more than an iPhone camera (and maybe even that?!) that I’m especially in awe of an artist who can master the medium.
I’ve shown you the absolutely incredible, very choreographed, work of photographer Julie Blackmon, and today we’re looking at an artist whose work is defined by what enters his lens. While their work and process are quite different, both are creating complex narratives in different ways, and I think it’s worth us considering how a photographer achieves that as we look today.
As I’ve already teased a bit, Max Miechowski is a British photographer whose work “often relates to themes of connection, mostly between people and their environment and the reciprocal influence they have on each other.”
